Do you share our passion for antiques and fine collectibles? Becoming a vendor at Quaker Barrel Unique Antique & General Store is simple and easy.

While Quaker Barrel reserves the right to refuse to sell any merchandise, we are more than happy to review with you the merchandise you have to offer for sale and accept that which meets our standards. Only items in clean and good condition will be accepted. All of the merchandise offered for sale must be in good working order except as specifically disclosed in writing by the vendor to Quaker Barrel or the proposed purchaser.

On a month-to-month rental basis we will provide each vendor with a secure display cabinet or booth to display the vendor's saleable items. Vendor's merchandise can be displayed only within the confines of the rented booth or display cabinet. No merchandise can be placed in any aisle, walkway or doorway.

Quaker Barrel will provide a reasonable number of staff employees to service customer inquiries and subsequent sales of the vendor's saleable items. Sale of the vendor's items will be according to the pricing and instructions provided by the vendor.

Quaker Barrel will collect and remit applicable sales taxes on the vendor's items to the applicable taxing authority.

Quaker Barrel will also provide each vendor with a complete accounting of items sold and remittance of monies collected within ten (10) days after the closing of each calendar month.

Vendors must agree to provide for display and sale items that are appropriate with the theme of Quaker Barrel and that are in accordance with local, provincial and federal laws and regulations.

Vendors must also agree to maintain and replenish inventory in their rental cabinet/booth on a weekly basis, at a minimum, and to maintain their rental cabinet/booth in a clean and orderly manner. Each item must be correctly and legibly tagged with the correct cabinet/booth number, vendor number, price and description.

Title to Assets

The Vendor must have good and marketable title to all the merchandise offered for sale and it must be free and clear of all mortgages, liens, pledges, charges, encumbrances, equities, claims, covenants, conditions or restrictions, except for those specifically disclosed by the Vendor to Quaker Barrel or the prospective purchaser.

Except as set forth in writing to Quaker Barrel or prospective purchasers, no officer, director or employee of the Vendor, nor any spouse, child, other relative or any other person, owns or has any interest in, directly or indirectly, any of the personal property for sale by the Vendor.

The Vendor further warrants they are not in any violation of any copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade names or trade secrets. The Vendor will not violate any law, regulation or decree by offering for sale such merchandise.

 
Rental Fees
Rental Fees

Quaker Barrel charges a base rental monthly fee to vendors of $35 + GST for each occupied display cabinet, and $36.75 + GST for each occupied display booth. Rental fees must be paid prior to the start of the first rental month, and on the 1st of every month thereafter.

Vendors will be charged a $50 NSF fee for any cheques returned by the bank, and in the event of failure to pay rent, Quaker Barrel may at its discretion deduct rental income first plus any fees from the Vendor's sales.

Quaker Barrel shall also be paid a monthly 10% commission on vendor sales. Commission fees shall be deducted from monies collected from the sales of vendor's items. Commission fees are intended to cover the costs associated with processing of credit cards and cheques, the costs associated with sales tax collecting, reporting and remittance, and costs associated with sales personnel and facilities.
